- Sand the tool chest thoroughly to remove all rust.
- Drill new holes for the towel bar, shelf, and wine glass racks.
- Prime the entire chest (inside and out) with black Rust-Oleum® Universal® Flat Spray Paint.
- Using Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint in your desired colors, paint the rest of the tool chest.Each drawer may be a different color, like we did here. Allow the chest to dry for at least 24 hours.
- Spray the chest with Rust-Oleum® Stops Rust® Crystal Clear Enamel to protect its surface.
- Attach a towel bar, glass racks, and fold-down shelf.
- Put contact paper in the drawers and on the back, inside wall of the tool chest.
- Affix a chalkboard decal to the front door of the chest.
- Stock with drinks and snacks.
- Party time!
